Q. What is the maximum fan voltage draw that each of the fan connectors can support?
A:
Maximum output for one channel ¡V0.8amp Maximum output for all three channels ¡V 1.5amp
So you can have for example, 0.8amp on first, 0.3amp on second, and 0.4amp on third channel. But you can't have 0.8amp on all three channels at the same time.
Q. Is my motherboard compatible with TJ05?
A: Any Extended ATX, ATX, and Micro ATX motherboard is compatible with TJ05
Q. I have a dual/quad CPU motherboard, does TJ05 have proper CPU cooler mounting holes for it?
A:
The TJ05 is SSI compliant so if your motherboard conforms to the layout outlined by SSI (nearly all server/workstation motherboards are SSI compliant), it will have all the mounting holes you need. For more info, please visit: http://www.ssiforum.org/specifications.aspx
Q. I have TJ05 with the integrated thermal controller, I want to use it with 4pin fans, how do I connect them?
A: The thermal controller accepts only fans powered by 3pin connectors so you will need to use a 4pin to 3pin adapter for your 4pin fans.
Q. In your spec sheet, the TJ05 is supposed to accommodate 8 hard drives but I only found spaces for 7. Where is the 8th one located?
A: The 8th hard drive space is located directly below the two external 3.5" drive bays. You may need to get an extra set of drive rail if you want to install all 8 hard drives. Extra drive rails can be obtained at SilverStone offices closest to you: http://www.silverstonetek.com/contactus.php
Q. Does TJ05 have an internal speaker?
A: The internal speaker for TJ05 is a speaker on a connector and it should be located in the accessories box.
Q. What is the chassis cable for?
A: This connector is for motherboards with "chassis intrusion" features, please refer to your motherboard for more info and the proper connection of this cable.
Q. Will my SATA drives fit in the TJ05?
A: TJ05 manufactured after fall of 2004 should fit any SATA drives and cables with little problems. If your case has trouble accommodating SATA cables with long connector ends, please purchase SATA cables with connectors angled at 90 degrees.
Q. The thermal controller in my TJ05 beeps non-stop and my temperatures are below the preset alarm value, what is going on?
A: Please make sure all the connections to the thermal controller are correct and double check your temperature settings again. There are three temperature values (CPU, SYS, HDD), if any of them are exceeded, the alarm will sound.
Q. I have checked all the connections and values set, the beeps still continues non-stop. What should I do?
A: Your integrated thermal controller maybe defective. Please contact the SilverStone office closest to you for information on how you can obtain replacement parts: http://www.silverstonetek.com/contactus.php
Q. A small part in my TJ05 is broken, how can I get a replacement?
Q. Every time I turn off and on my system the date and my saved settings are lost.
A: Please check to see if the battery for the thermal
controller is properly seated in its slot. If it is, then
the battery may need to be replaced. The TJ05¡¦s integrated
thermal controller uses "CR2032"
sized lithium battery that is readily available in most electronics store.
Q. Front panel connectors installation guide.
A:
Power switch and reset switch installation guide:
Please refer to the motherboard manuals for the motherboard’s “Front Panel Connector” or “System Panel Connector” pin definition. Power switch and reset switch have no polarity, so they can be connected in any orientation.
LED connector installation guide:
Please refer to the motherboard manuals for the motherboard’s “Front Panel Connector” or “System Panel Connector” pin definition.
White colored wires are negative while other colored wires are positive.
Power LED connector is designed as separate pins for compatibility with different motherboard specifications.
